Do you have a problem paying your bills or a question concerning an invoice, please first pay attention to where the bill or the invoice comes from.
If, for instance, a payment request or an invoice comes from the Inland Revenue (Skat), your local municipality cannot help you. In this case you must contact Skat, either personally at the nearest Skattecenter, or you may call Skat on 72 22 18 18.
Generally speaking, an authority can only discuss a payment arrangement with you if it's a matter of money or services concerning this particular authority.
If it's impossible for you to pay the whole sum at once, we may, in some cases, arrange that the payment is divided into two or more installments.
We suggest that you become a user of Betalingsservice (Payment service). This ensures that your bills are always payed on time from your bank account, and you don't have bills sent to you.
If you do not pay, and if you do not make a payment arrangement, the following steps may be taken against you:
- You will receive reminders
- Your employer will be asked to hold back a percentage of your salary
- You will be reported to RKI (a register of debtors)
- We may levy execution on your properties.

If we are transferring money to you:
If a public authority has to pay you a sum of money, it will be transferred to your NEM-konto, which is one of your normal bank accounts, for instance the account to which your salary is transferred.
